Our 2025 rugby camp was a great day of rugby for The Breakers.

Thanks to everyone that came out!

WHO WILL BE THERE

Any adult that's interested in playing rugby is welcome to register for our camp. The primary goal is to give new players a way to learn rugby and start playing with a local team. Existing players will be present to get some training in, but also available to answer any questions and show new players how things are done.

WHEN IS IT

Date: August 2nd, 2025

Camp Start: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Social Start: 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm

WHERE IS IT

The Camp will be held at "The Bog" located at 65 Dewey Lane, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705.

WHAT'S THE PLAN

Players will go through a series of training sessions prepared by one of the most respected coaches in the EPRU and Mid-Atlantic conference. We'll cap it off at a local pub where we'll eat some food, socialize and exaggerate just how well we played.

Rugby 101

We'll start camp by going over the core components of rugby. Passing, tackling, kicking and simple plays will make sure that new players know the basics.

Offensive & Defensive Game Play

Players will build on the basics of rugby by using them in offensive and defensive game play. Players will be shown how to move the ball forward on offense as well as the best way to defend against it.

Scrimmaging & Open Play

Now that players have a good understanding of how rugby is played it's time to actually play! Well, maybe not an actual match, but we'll start using everything we've learned so far in open play.

Complimentary Food & Beverages

After a long training camp all registered players are welcome to join us at a local pub for some grub. Not only is it crucial that we replenish our energy after a long day on the pitch, but the social side of rugby is where we get to know each other and make life-long friends.
